Edify supports the Abbey's development plans

Alongside the appointed architects FCB Studios we have been working hard to assist the Abbey in communicating their proposals. The plans that include a new choir school, learning spaces and improved access via the Jackson Extension will help further strengthen the Abbey's footprint at the heart of city. We have helped refine initial visualisations and have developed bespoke case for support documents that have helped to shape the narrative of the plans. Initial feedback has been excellent and press coverage has also been beneficial. Our role has involved taking detailed architectural information and structuring communication materials so they can be easily understood by anyone. With more materials required our plan is to do everything possible to continue to assist the fundraising campaign with our design expertise.

Recently I took a photographic stroll looking for layers of typographic detail from Bath's past. Dotted around the city I found lettering treats that have survived and are now juxtaposed with the modern typographic landscape. There is something beautiful about the faded embedded messages, revealing fragments of the way shop owners and advertisers communicated to potential customers.

We were delighted to hear that Laga Gaga wore one of Emma Yeo's excellent hats for the launch of her Born This Way Foundation. So then, the chosen venue was Havard, the chosen interviewer was Oprah and the chosen milliner was Emma. Brilliant!
