Sending a gift stateside

Today, after buying milk and soup for the studio I sent my wife Becky Green's latest musical delight The Searching to our friends Bob & Penny-Sue (names may have been altered) who now live in America.

The old school physical media (compact disc) was tucked nicely in an airmail packet with a greetings card bundled in. It will now take the journey through the postal system and hopefully arrive in Bob's hands in a few days. I'm taking a romantic view on proceedings and I imagine the parcel nestling in amongst other cargo on a merry little biplane headed over the blue yonder to the metropolis known as Atlanta.

I enjoyed the experience of sending something tactile instead of pixelated. I hope it arrives safe and they enjoy it sonically. Bob and Penny Sue headed to the great U S of A a little while back and Bob has written a song about his new surroundings. If you type "Rowe America Welcome" into YouTube you'll probably find his neat music video at the top of the list.
